Writing a Children’s Book

Self-Paced Online Course $348

A self-paced 6-step course made specifically for young writers (8 and up) to teach them how to write a book start to finish. Adults can learn the process with this course, too!

In this self-paced course, you will learn from author Jacky Lamenzo Sinha the process of brainstorming, character development, drafting, peer editing, revising, illustrating, and publishing your very own book!

By the end of the program, you will have written and illustrated a one-of-a-kind book that can then be submitted to Lemon House Publishing. Profits from book sales go to Boston-based literacy charity, Storytime Crafts. If you'd like to self-publish on Amazon yourself, there is an additional course you could purchase from Lemon House Publishing for $248.

This class will allow writers to:

  • Learn project management skills. Seeing a project from start to finish and having a tangible result at the end will feel rewarding and build the desire to see projects through.

  • Strengthen self-confidence. Celebrating your efforts at the end of this program with a physical product will strengthen both academic and personal confidence.

  • Develop self-expression. Each author will have the creative freedom to create his or her own stories with our guidance.

  • Check off a bucket-list item! You will accomplish a unique and rewarding project, and have a finished product at the end.

This course is suggested for ages 8 and up; some students may need more guidance and support. 1:1 private coaching sessions are available at a rate of $100 per 45-minute session. There will be links throughout the course to register.
